STEAM Night @ Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead – School Fundraiser
Overview: STEAM Night @ Full STEAM Ahead is a family event where kids get an opportunity to try out various S.T.E.A.M. activities in a fun, open format. Attendees will use their creative and critical thinking skills to create structures, control robots, design 3D models, and solve problems for a chance to win prizes.
Available Times/Dates: Evenings from 6PM to 8PM. Weekend dates available by request.
Cost: $10 per family, with raffle tickets available for $1.
50% of the total revenue from the event goes directly back to the host organization and/or their PTO.
Sample Activities: Students will learn about and complete the following challenges for a chance to win prizes:
Design a 3D Model of a house
Drive a Sphero Robot around a track
Build a Minecraft boat
Write code to make a character spin in circles
Fold an origami boat
Memorize the first 10 digits of pi
Launch a rocket into space using our rocket simulator
Build a straw rocket that launches 10ft
Design a popsicle stick catapult
Play a song on piano
Hula hoop while playing ukulele
Draw shapes with shadows
