Naples STEAM Summer Camp

The saying, “it’s not rocket science,” gives rocket science a bad name. It implies that it’s not fun and can’t be done by amateurs. Well, we are here to prove that wrong. In our Rockets and Space camp, students will be learning about aerodynamics and aerospace engineering principals, as well as the challenges that engineers face in designing rockets. Students will be building and launching their own rockets out of various materials, engaging in the scientific method and engineering design process, and exploring Kerbal Space Program to learn about the physics of space flight. Coding 1: Scratch Summer Camp is an introductory coding camp design to teach and build fundamentals of coding. Students will learn using the Scratch coding language. Scratch is a powerful, visual drag and drop coding language with an enormous following and community. Campers will learn about conditionals, variables, events, loops, and more as they create animations and games using custom code.
