Frequently Asked Questions

Most classes that we offer are subject specific and focus on a core set of skills described in that class (e.g. 3D Printing, Coding, Art, etc.). Other programs, like our summer STEAM Camps and Mini Camps allow kids to experience a little bit of everything. However, no matter what program our students are enrolled for, they will be gaining valuable experience with our Maker Traits. Above all, we focus on building higher-level thinking skills and problem solving abilities in a fun and relaxed environment.

Usually, yes. Certain classes (like our Home School classes) are billed and enroll per session. However, most classes have no long term commitment and you can sign up for as few or as many classes as you want. Our STEAM Memberships are a great option if you want 2 or more classes. If you’re all in on STEAM learning, STEAM Unlimited is the way to go!

All STEAM Classes are taught by our staff of passionate, highly-trained teachers. Many STEAM programs have high school and college students with no degree or teaching experience teaching their classes. At Full STEAM Ahead, we understand the value of great teachers, and that is what we get.

We offer early sign-up discounts for our Summer Camps. The best way to save, however, is our STEAM Memberships. Memberships allow you to save on each class you enroll for, get free open makerspace time, and best of all, free summer camps as well!

In the past, we have been able to offer scholarships and discounts through partner organizations. However, at this time, we are unable to offer those scholarships. We are working hard to bring them back!

Based on the success of our first Full STEAM Ahead location, we are working hard behind the scenes to bring more programs to more places! Ft. Myers, get ready for a Full STEAM Ahead by early 2020!

It’s complicated. The easy answer? About $20. Most of our programs cost about $20-25 per class. Depending on the duration, complexity, frequency, and materials, prices can shift one way or another. We’re quite please to announce that compared to many of our competitors that do STEM and STEAM, we are FAR less expensive. And higher quality, too!

Membership savings can be pretty enormous. Classes cost about the same with or without a membership, but members get unlimited Open Makerspace time. STEAM Plus members can save $224/mo on Open Makerspace, while STEAM Unlimited can save $432. Our members are also guaranteed the best promotional prices on Summer Camps. We haven’t even mentioned the best part. Both Plus and Unlimited members get free summer camps, which can save anywhere between a $800 and $2000.

Memberships are billed monthly on the first of each month.

After School, classes, mini camps, and other programs are generally billed on Monday for the upcoming week.

Many students that attend our after school program complete their homework while they are waiting for or on the bus or van. Others use their free time before classes. However, we do not offer tutoring or homework help as a part of our after school program or other classes.
