STEAM/Virtual School Hybrid

“The perfect balance of virtual and in-person learning, socialization, and safety”

Grades K-6 Steam/Virtual School Hybrid

On the fence about Florida Virtual School (FLVS), Lee Home Connect, and brick and mortar this upcoming school year?

No need to compromise, even during a global pandemic. STEAM/Virtual School Hybrid exists to provide a safe and clean learning environment with very small classes, while allowing kids to continue their virtual learning AND receive STEAM enrichment classes.

Kindergarten

An additional Kindergarten-only class will specifically work with FLVS to provide a hybrid Kindergarten experience. Students will be in a safer, cleaner space with highly qualified, experienced teachers. They will work with FLVS teachers virtually and with our STEAM teachers for a social and academic experience previously unavailable anywhere. Students will receive:

  • FLVS support
  • In person reading instruction
  • In person math instruction
  • In person music instruction
  • Learning centers
  • Hands on STEAM activities
  • Social/emotional support from our skilled teachers
  • A school-like environment to prepare them for elementary school beyond the pandemic

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we join this program if we are doing Lee Home Connect?

Yes, however we recommend the Florida Virtual School option. This provides more flexibility than Lee Home Connect so that kids can take advantage of the STEAM enrichment when the time comes.

Can we join this program if I home school my children?

Yes, however students will be working on pre-assigned academic work during the first half of the day. Home school students can join and benefit, but they will need to have work assigned to them by their primary educators for the beginning of the day.

Can my kindergartener attend part-time?

Yes, although we highly recommend full-time for rising Kindergarten students. The goal is for the children to feel as close to “normal” as possible. Routine and regular attendance is a key component to this. While children will be guided through their virtual school, the majority of their time will be spent face-to-face, participating in lessons through our curriculum, playing, learning, socializing, and growing.

What does a typical day look like?

11:00-12:00 – Work time
